We run several Joomla Course levels.

Please note the courses are run using Joomla 1.0.15 We will be changing the courses to run 1.5.x or 1.6.x in February 2009.

Note: 1.0.15 is a very stable and secure version of Joomla,by using 1.0.15 will not effect how your site will operate, nor will it stop working when Joomla stop development for the 1.0.15 version in July 2009.

Level One: £180.00

This is a one day course that will cover the administration side of Joomla only. This course is aimed at those people that already have or know how to install Joomla and are competent with css and html that wish to know how to manage the content within the administration side of the website. The course will cover all aspects of the administration panel and explain and how to create content pages, blogs, menu's, modules, SEF rewrite, image manager, JCE (wysywig editor) and the installation of components.

Level Two:  £325.00

The course is for those people wishing to grasp the basic understanding of Joomla to be able to create and maintain sites for them selves and other clients, before moving on to creating Joomla websites in a working environment. This is a two day training course.

The Course will cover:

  • Introduction to Joomla
  • Installing joomla and setting up of the sql database
  • Installing templates, components and modules.
  • Joomla Templates
  • Configuring Components and modules
  • Menu systems
  • Content management
  • Creating a community site
  • User registration and site permissions
  • Creating custom forms

Day 1:

Today we will cover the Joomla system and go over the entire administration panel from installation, content blogs to contact forms and much more. This will give you an in-depth look into the functionality of how Joomla works.

Day 2

Today you will create your own Joomla site from installing Joomla to putting the site live. You will create Forms, Galleries, Content Pages, Menus, Module information areas, and anything else you wish to add to the site. (please note that the site you work on is on a training environment and the site will be removed after the course)

Level Three: For Personal and Business websites £530.00

This level is designed for individuals wishing to create and maintain their own personal or company websites. You will be shown how Joomla works, just as in level one. The difference here is that over the three days we will set up and create your website with you creating pages, forums, directories, contact forms, galleries ect.

  • We will host your website free for 12 months
  • You will have 10 email accounts.

  • Your website will be submitted to the top 100 search engines in the world 
The Training and Development

Day 1:

Today we will cover the Joomla system and go over the entire administration panel from installation, content blogs to contact forms and much more. This will give you an in-depth look into the functionality of how Joomla works, we will also be selecting the design and layout for your site.

Day 2:

Today we will begin making your site, from design and graphics, to adding content and components to provide your site with user interaction and site functionality.

Day 3:

Today We will continue with the content and layout tweaking areas of the site that may require it. ensuring that your website is ready for launch in the afternoon. By the time your site goes live at around 2pm on the third day, you will have a full understanding of how to manage your website from adding new pages and menus, to registering new members.

Please note that if you struggle to edit or maintain your website once you go back to your office or home we are only a phone call away and will be more than happy to help you.

After the 12 months is up.

NOTE: After the first 12 months from the date of your website going live, you will have the option to continue letting us host your site offering a further 12 months help support, emails, and website stats for an annual fee £85. If you do not wish to continue with us, you must find alternative hosting 4 weeks prior to the end of the 12 months. Any website that is not renewed 4 weeks after the end of the 12 months will be deleted from our servers and lost for ever.

Extra custom days

These days can not be booked to do a two day course that would cover any aspect of the other courses, these days are to cover specific subjects such as:

  • Create and install community blogs
  • Create a community website using community builder.
  • Create and online shop.
  • Install templates and redesign and configure them to suite your needs.
  • Learn how to create and manage templates.
  • Community Forums.

Evening Classes

We also run evening classes between 6.30pm and 9.30pm Monday to Friday. £350.00

Ratio: All courses are done on a one to one basis ensuring that you get our full attention.

Prices:

One day Joomla Training Course £180.00 (lunch is provided from the local sandwich shop)

Two Day Joomla Training Course £325.00 (lunch is provided from the local sandwich shop)

Weekend two day courses are £350.00 which includes a 1 hour pub lunch on Saturday and Sunday

Three day midweek Joomla Course £530.00 (lunch is provided from the local sandwich shop)

Three Day weekend course £545.00 with one day either side of the weekend either a Friday or Monday (includes a 1 hour pub lunch on Saturday and Sunday)

Extra days extra days can be booked for specific requests £145.00 (lunch is provided from the local sandwich shop)
