Email Safety
Email addresses on your web site equals trouble. This is always an issue, and one that can be avoided if your are sensible with your email addresses.
Never put your email address on your website EVER, there is no need for you to display an email address on your site if you have a contact form.
Depending on how many features you have on your site that requires people to enter information to be emailed to you, set us an email address for each feature. For example, if you have a general enquiry form then use an email address such as general@ if you let people register then the email address would be register@ etc etc.
Do not use common email addresses such as, info@ enquiries@ sales@ spammers will guess these email accounts as they are to common.
Always try to use an anti spam feature like captcha on your site to prevent bots from using your forms to send out emails.
Create a 12 digit/character password and change this every 3-6 months.
