Google's Goal
Have you ever found that whilst searching online, you come across a lot of websites that aren't very relevant to your question? This is about to change.
Google's goal is simple; to find people the most relevant answers to their queries as quickly as possible.
Google has launched a pretty big algorithmic improvement to their ranking, and in doing so, 11.8% of their queries will be noticeably affected.
The update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites and provide better rankings for high-quality sites. As a result, you will find the websites being delivered to you in your search results becoming increasingly relevant to your query. Basically, websites that copy content from other sites and are just not very useful will rank less highly, and those websites which are informative, with original content and thoughful analysis will benefit.
