Joomla Training

We currently run Joomla training courses here at our office in Lytham Sty Anne's near Blackpool. We can provide training for up to 4 people from the same company at any one time. We also cater for individuals that require one to one Joomla training, whether you are a complete beginner or whether you are looking to further your knowledge with specific Joomla components and features. The current courses run the Joomla 1.5.15 application, we can also offer training for those of you with older versions of Joomla.

We will commence running Joomla training courses on 1.6x in the Autumn of 2010 giving the new version to go through a rigorous testing period.

Joomla Web Site Design and Development

We have been working with Joomla since version 1.0.8 back in February 2006, and have never looked back. We have created a wide verity of websites such as:

• Ecommerce stores
• Job recruitment sites

• Brochure style web sites
• Intranet sites
• Directory web sites
• Informational web sites
• Web sites for local councils
• Charity web sites.

We have also been involved with creating and modifying custom components and Joomla features, to enable the joomla system to perform specific functions with the site it's self.

Building Your Joomla Website

We will develop your Joomla website on our own servers if you currently have an active domain with your current website on it. This offers you the opportunity to view the development of your new web site without any interruptions of your existing site. If you are setting up a web site for the first time then we will build the site on that domain behind a front page so that no one will see the site until it is complete.

During the build process we will ensure that the site if search engine friendly, by ensuring are url's are relevant adding keywords and meta descriptions, alt and title tags to all images etc.

To ensure that your project runs smoothly we ask you to be able to provide the written content to us at your earliest convenience if we are not taking the text from the old site.

Joomla Template Design

We have the skills and knowledge to provide you with a completely new and bespoke Joomla template for your website, whether you are looking for something of the shelf to be modified to suite your requirements or a Joomla template that is completely unique to your company. Then we will be able to provide you with the right design and features. Our Joomla template design service starts from £195 inc vat.

Work Placements

Web Design Studio offer work placements for school children looking at getting work experience as part of their final year of school. We have been running these placement for two years and have enjoyed the company of these upcoming school leavers. Our aim is to provide the child/teenager with work experience for those that wish to move on into the web site and design industry. many people think that our job is glamorous and easy, while the truth is is that it can be very complex and tedious, not all that one might think it is. If you are interested as a school leaver please feel free to ask your parent or school to contact us for an interview.
